It started about ten years ago... I found a book about teddy bear making one long and awful winter, and from that moment I was hooked!

I use the best quality materials to make each bear, whether it's Schulte mohair, or Corriedale wool. Recently I started needlefelting bears, a process of taking wool fibers and sculpting them using a barbed needle. A great way to take out some pent up frustration!

Supporting the handmade /artisan industry is vital to me. Coming from a very long line of artisans,crafters, musicians, and other creative types keeps me keenly aware how important the creative arts are. I buy and support local and handmade as often as I can.

I have won two URSA awards, the most recent being in 2017, for my bears, and even was featured on HGTV's That's Clever!- an old show about artists and crafters.
